An email has been sent to you. Congrats! And thank you to all for entering.
We haven’t watched very many movies since our city’s video rental store went out of business.
I miss snuggling up with some free hot buttery popcorn (you thought I was going to say kid didn’t you?) and a bag of sour candies in front of our T.V and getting swept up in a good story line.
Sure you can say, “Well Kim, this is a great opportunity to read or play games with your family.”
And you’re right.
But we have a tradition in our house and that’s lazy movie Friday.
PJ optional.
Ok it’s mandatory.
Have you tried to take a family of 3 to the theaters?
Do you know how much it costs?
It’s like a mortgage payment, one hour of serving customers at the snack stand, and your first born child.
It’s ridiculous!
Oh you want popcorn?
Hand over the keys to your souped up Mustang.
The weather is getting colder and we are missing hanging our together watching some Christmas movie favourites. We want to bring back movie night in our house and we are so glad that Netflix came to the rescue.
Don’t know what Netflix is all about?
Netflix is the world’s leading internet subscription service that allows it’s members to view movies and TV programs. You can watch it through not only your TV but through your computer, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 and so many other devices connected to your Internet.
You can find out more about Netflix here: www.netflix.com
My family and I had the chance to try out Netflix and we loved it. There was a wide array of movies to choose from and we were so happy that there were child friendly selections.
It was simple to use through our PS3 and easy to navigate. We love that the movies come with descriptions and a rating. Also, based on your selections, it recommends other movies or TV shows to try.
We are so happy that Netflix is helping us keep our Friday Night Tradition.
Speaking of traditions:
Canadian holiday traditions may be changing, as families are curling up to watch movies during the holiday season. According to a new survey from Netflix, over half (58 per cent) of households with children reported that they watch movies together during the holidays. Along with Holiday dinners, cooking, baking and shopping, watching TV and movies together is a new holiday tradition!
To help you embrace this new tradition, Netflix is giving away a 6-month subscription to the service. And in case you didn’t know, you can also give the gift of Netflix to friends and family: just head to https://signup.netflix.com/Gift to purchase a Netflix gift card.
Yes you read that right, Netflix is offering one lucky All Work And No Play reader a 6 month subscription to their service!!

I mourn the loss of netflix in our move from the US to France. We have no video stores here – they all went out of business. Don’t know what they do instead.
