Let’s face it.
Twenty Sixteen is a chapter in the history books that most of us would like to rip out and burn.
We’ve lost so many of our celebrity icons starting from David Bowie to Mohammad Ali and the latest, Carrie Fisher.
2016 can be gone now.
2017, we are ready.
We. Are. Ready.
We will be bidding adieu to 2016 as a family and ringing in 2017 as a family and with some our closest friends as it always has been.
Surrounding ourselves with the cheerful banter of family and friends helps us to remember what’s important at the end of the year – to celebrate those wonderful times and despite how crappy things may have been or seemed, we are lucky.
We have good people in our lives.
We have each other.
Whatever you decide to do on New Years Eve, know that Netflix has your party needs covered.
You can manage your night with their 10 on Demand Countdown For Kids:
Kids get to celebrate with mom and dad, and parents get the kids to bed before midnight – it is a win-win for everyone. This year’s countdowns are based on some of kids’ favorite shows: Word Party, Puffin Rock, Luna Petunia, Beat Bugs, All Hail King Julien, Skylanders Academy, Trollhunters, Project Mc2, Fuller House and Chasing Cameron.
But after any good party comes the morning after, with cranky kids and tired parents. So Netflix is also making parents’ lives a little easier the next morning. Inspired by a strategic playlist of shows kids will jump at the chance to watch back-to-back, Netflix has created a simple tool that will give kids permission to press play while parents hit snooze: The Netflix Door Sign
Parents, just simply print out the door sign, cut, and hang on the door. Tell your kids that they can watch back-to-back episodes of the (strategically recommended*) shows listed on the door sign…in exchange for an extra few zzzzzz’s.
It’s another win!
Whatever you decide to do this year, be safe.
And, heck yes, it’s finally a new page.
